BatterUp is an iOS app for volunteer coaches of youth softball teams. This policy explains exactly what data the app and this website handle. The short version: BatterUp does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user accounts, no servers, and no third-party SDKs.
What data BatterUp collects
None. BatterUp does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you, your players, or anyone else. The app has no user accounts, no login, and no backend servers. It does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Data stored on your device
Information you enter into BatterUp — including team rosters, player names and numbers, game records, lineups, at-bats, and scores — is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s on-device SwiftData storage. This data never leaves your device through BatterUp. If you delete the app, the local data is removed along with it.
Children’s privacy
BatterUp is designed to be used by adults — coaches and team managers — to record games and player performance for youth softball teams. While children’s names, jersey numbers, and game statistics may appear in coach-entered rosters, none of this information is transmitted off the device by BatterUp. The app does not create accounts for children, does not communicate with any servers, and does not share children’s data with any third party.
Sharing
BatterUp uses Apple’s standard ShareLink to let coaches share game recaps and similar content. Sharing is always initiated by the coach, the content is composed locally on the device, and the coach decides what to send and to whom (for example, by Messages, Mail, or another app of their choice). BatterUp itself does not transmit shared content to any server.
Analytics, tracking, and cookies
BatterUp does not use analytics or crash reporting from any third party. The app does not integrate with any social networks or advertising networks. This website does not set cookies and does not include any tracking scripts or third-party analytics.
